Que lo que, mi gente—
We’re so used to equating progress with struggle, growth with pain, and success with sacrifice that sometimes we forget to ask ourselves the simplest question:
“What if it could be easy?”
Not because life is always easy—clearly, it isn’t—but because maybe we’ve been conditioned to expect difficulty as the default.
Sometimes the hardest thing isn’t the actual work, but the resistance we’ve built around letting go of struggle as our story. As Latinas, as Black and Brown women, as queer folx, as survivors of systemic injustice, we’ve been taught that ease is a luxury we haven’t earned.
Pero guess what? That’s a lie.
Ease is not laziness. Ease is not failure.
Ease is an invitation to trust your rhythm. Your intuition. Your alignment.
🪞 Client Reflection:
One of my clients—a brilliant, driven mujer—recently told me:
“I’ve always been told that if it doesn’t hurt, it’s not working.”
She was burning herself out on the regular because she believed that ease meant she was slacking.
So I asked her:
“But who told you that? And does it serve how you want to get there?”
That question stopped her in her tracks.
This woman, who has been driven desde chamaquita, never lacked opportunity. She was promoted regularly. She was considered reliable. Capable. A leader.
Pero she was tired. Deeply.
Tired in a way that no amount of vacation days could undo.
She needed to rest. To feel the sun on her skin. To hear the birdsong without rushing to the next meeting. She needed space to contemplate how she actually wanted to move forward, at her own pace, with clarity—not with the momentum of burnout disguised as purpose.
She needed to redefine the “cost” of chasing the wrong kind of success—and she decided some things just weren’t worth paying for with her health, joy, or alignment.

✨ Let’s Reflect:
- Where in your life have you been choosing struggle over strategy?
- What would “ease” actually look like in your day-to-day?
- Who benefits when you burn yourself out trying to prove your worth?
🌊 Weekly Reminder:
Ease is not the enemy. It’s a form of wisdom.
You’re allowed to choose the softest path that still gets you to your destination.
You are not less worthy because your steps are lighter.

Start with a single decision today:
📌 Where can I lean into ease instead of effort?
Let this be your mantra:
“Joy is not optional. It’s part of the work.”
